This week has been tough for me. My brother and his family are in flood stricken Houston, Texas, where Hurricane Harvey has caused widespread destruction and horrible losses for so many. Thankfully, they were able to get out of their house and are safe. Their house was damaged but we believe still saveable. My heart aches for so many of the folks that have lost so much... it has been hard to concentrate on much this week. Between that and my recent back injury, I've been really emotionally drained this week. Hunts are always a fun way to find some really cool new stores and designer that you may not know of, and on top of it for free! Womenstuff Hunt is an annual hunt in SL that has always had so many lovely items for the ladies that its really worth checking out. If you are new to the SL experience I'd highly reccommend doing a hunt or two.  I think its very generous of creators to participate in these hunts as they really are under no obligation to. And, the same goes for group gifts. I highly reccomend the next time you get a group gift from one of your groups, send a thank you note to the creator letting them know you appreciate it. Skins are my favorite thing in SL.. next to shoes.. :)When I started out, and I found a skin I liked, I rarely changed it up, but, once I let go of the fear that my avi won't look the same, or didn't want to lose my trademark look, I realized that a whole new world was opened to me.. then I started making shapes and off I went! The beauty of Second Life is that we are able to try out various looks, designs, etc. I tend to keep my shapes similar in style so I do retain some of my uniqueness in my avi, but I have no fear changing at all now a days. Skins have come such a long way, and are way more accessible than before.
