"I'm your only hope, asshole" the cyborg-human girl the crew knew as Evie stated quietly as she stood in-front of the bridge, gun in hand, cigarette in another.  The scar across the right side of her face was fresh, the blood crusting over, but still glistening. 

"You are a contradiction, you shouldn't exist" sneered the human soldier standing in front of her, his blaster leveled against her chest. His eyes were cold, angry and full of hate. "You should have died at birth.. the only thing that keeps you alive is the cyborg parts your grandfather used to save you.. you fucking Fankenstein freak." 

The laser blast that brought the man down came from Evie's left side. Jake, half sitting up against the wall with a bloody wound across his chest, had managed to crawl close enough to kill. 

"Sonofabitch.... " he muttered as he put the blaster down. Evie smiled and walked over to the wounded man. Quickly assessing that he would survive the damage, she lifted him and helped him walk to the bridge.  They had to get the rest of the surviving crew and unite them.. fast. Only together could they hope to survive.

The Worldbuilder Project had ended, and with it the last remnants of what was once known as Earth. The only remaining humans were on a spaceship, the Genesis, having escaped death by the mere fact that they were outcasts. Humans with super-human powers, abilities beyond that of any normal person, they had been deemed as sub-human and hurled into deep space just months before the demise of the planet. Unbeknownst to them, the ship contained within its core an Ark of sorts, the genetic code of every animal on earth, including humans, secretly hidden in The Codex, smuggled in by a brave half human, half cyborg, the grand daughter of an outcast scientist who knew that the Earth would be lost to all if he did not gather the code to recreate it.  The day the earth died, the crew of the Genesis, distraught and alone, fought. The battle cost the lives of half the crew. In the end, the remaining humans knew that to survive they would have to bind together in one common goal... to ensure the survival of their species.
