I recently went back home to Texas for work, and, I have to admit I really did not want to go. The fact that it was for work made it oh so much less enjoyable, and that I had to get up at 2 in the morning to get a shuttle to the airport at 3:15 kind of made me cringe at the thought of the flight. However, as we safely arrived in the outskirts of Dallas, I had the feeling that I was in a way, coming home. I had grown up in South Texas and lived in Dallas for a while in college, and even though while I was there I had grumbled about it, yearning to leave and be in a different climate, etc, I realized that there was a kind of beauty in the roughness of the brush and mesquite trees that I had missed. Yes, missed. I admit it now. I miss Texas. The conference I was attending passed by in a blur of meetings, vendor stalls, presentations and food, all the while I felt my soul more and more drawn to the place. I knew that at some point, not sure when or why, I would go back there. 16 ...

So I decided to start participating in some hunts, and this is my first one, the Lady Dark 1L Hunt. Given the theme, I deduced to do a shape called Noir... and I must say, I've not really been able to take it off since I road tested it! So I know that shopping can be tough for newer folks in SL or those that don't have a lot of linden to spend but still want to look cute. Since it started, I have been a big fan of The Dressing Room . This is a really good way to try out new designs for not a lot of money, as well as find skins, clothes, shoes and poses from designers you may already know. If you don't frequent it, I suggest you go check it out.. definitely worth it ;) Also, as i was shopping around, I found a cute little eye store called "by Snow" who carries some really lovely eyes for 15L! Really pretty eyes for not much money.. always a winner :) And, as you already know from my prior blog posts, Sugar & Cyanide has announced it was closing. All in store is 80% off until January 1st. Lastly, something I was glad I purchased that is certainly well worth the price is the JD My Feet tip toe mesh feet. They are lovely mesh feet with a color matching website, where various popular skins ...

Sadly, one of my favorite designers has decided to close her doors.. Sugar & Cyanide is closing...  the creator currently has all her creations up for sale at her mainstore for 80% off until January 1st. I always hate to see such talent go and it makes me a sad panda, but I know things in SL are not forever... go check out her stuff while its still there!
