While taking a break from blogging, I ended up blogging! lol! Actually, this is something near and dear to my heart, and I couldn't pass up the chance to do a commentary/pic in support of body acceptance. I came across the skins in .: Soul:.,  created by Lerochelle Destiny and one of the demos I tried had a notecard describing why the creator made the skin as it was, with a "soft" belly. She described how her daughter, just about 10, commented on how she wished she was "thin". As a mother to two beautiful girls, that just broke my heart, as I understand the feeling of not wanting to look like you do, and I would never want that for my babies. The creator went on to ask that anyone who either bought the skin or just tried the demo, to please wear it on a larger, curvier shape, and post it to her flickr, so she could show her daughter that fuller figured still was beautiful.  Now, I will take it a step further and say.. While I may look for deals on hair and skins, I am willing to pay for good eyes, and ever since I discovered IKON eyes, I've not gone back. Good eyes are an essential part of photography in SL, in my opinion. I've seen some lovely avatars, only to zoom in and see flat eyes with little or no details to them. Its the little details that count, and IKON never disappoints :)  As for skins, oh ladies! Skin fair is coming .... brace yourselves! I was sad to hear that one of my dearest friends who is owner of [QE]Designs decided to close her shop, but I understood her reasons. So, needless to say, I was tickled pink to hear that she was still designing for events, and she was gracious enough to give me this colorful and pretty sweater and jeans to preview, which is out now at The Big Show :)   Emms has always had an eye for color, and she doesn't  shy away from it, whether in her photos or her designs. I've always been able to count on her stuff for the awesome pinks and blues and purples, and the sweet and sexy mix I love.  One little detail I loved was that she did a cuff for the jeans, so that when you use them as appliers, whether its on a mesh bum or a mesh body, you can finish them with the cuff, which just looks so finished and helps cover up the seam between the end of the leg and the beginning of the feet. I know its a little thing but I wish more designers did include them.. I just think it...

I've been home sick most of this week, and have taken the opportunity to rest but to also try out different outfits, and this dress really did what its name said.. it impressed me! I generally shy away from a lot of designs on my clothes, and I really do need to branch out from black and grey, so this dress did that for me :) Stylish and sexy, showing the right curves in all the right places.. easy to wear and easy to feel good in.
